Concepts of Cleansing and Detoxification

The initial phase of all good nutritional programs begin with cleansing the body in preparation for good, wholesome nutrition. The concept of the naturopathic approach to systemic detoxification and cleansing is using all natural substances. Elements found in nature help the body rid itself of accumulated toxic buildup, brought on by the things we eat, drink, breathe and are exposed to daily. The word systemic refers to the body and system as one unit. Systemic detoxification and cleansing is a process designed to efficiently loosen, dissolve and gently expel poisons and toxins from the entire body. Through its eliminative channels, the body is able to detoxify the liver, kidneys, blood, lymphatic vessels, hormones, prostaglandins, internal and external organs (including the integumentary system – the skin and body’s connective tissue).

In conjunction with systemic cleansing and detoxification, consistent behavior modification is imperative to achieve maximum purging results. Individuals must cease poor lifestyle habits such as smoking, illegal drug usage, alcohol consumption, excessive meat and dairy product consumption, eating refined processed sugars, starchy or greasy foods, and drinking beverages (including water) that contain chlorine, caffeine or carbonation.

Since males and females have their own biochemical identity, a well-designed cleansing program should blend with and complement the male and female bodies respectively. The Dr. Lavert, "HE CLEANSE" is designed to do just that, through positive fusion with the male biochemistry, resulting in a fantastic and thorough cleansing of the male anatomy. Likewise, Dr. Lavert's "SHE CLEANSE" positively amalgamates with the female biochemistry, creating a unique, full-fledged purging of all female organs and much more. As an adjunct to assist the body’s healing and recovery process, one should increase fruit and vegetable consumption to 50 percent raw and 50 percent cooked (preferably steamed) and abstain from eating meat and dairy products for protein sources. Concentrate on eating more leguminous and plant proteins, such as beans, peas, sprouts, soybeans, tofu and peanuts. As a liquid dairy substitute, try using some of the soy, rice, almond or other nut milk substitutes.

It is an undisputed fact that most people put more planning into the care of their cars than their own bodies. So get into the habit of planning ahead, by knowing the night before exactly what and when you plan to feed your body for fuel and nutrition.

Hippocrates (touted as the father of all modern medicine) said, "Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food".

Consult your healthcare adviser for assistance in creating an exercise program. Remember that walking along will significantly assist the body’s cleansing process.
